Moreover, the dome makes it possible to take over-under photos. The set up is conducive to smaller apertures and more detail in wide angle images. The corners are sharper than taking wide angle with the TG-6 with a wide wet lens. Overall, we loved the optical quality of the dome. However, the zooming ability of the camera allows it to take some macro photos. This makes the Ikelite TG-6 set up a dedicated wide angle set up for the dive. The dome port screws on and the FCON-T02 fits inside of the housing. Sometimes a strap wrench can help the process, but I did it with my hand. Fisheye zoom lenses are also available for APS-C format cameras from. It is attached by easily twisting off the original port. For full-frame cameras there are currently four choices for fisheye zooms: Canon’s EF 8-15mm f/4L Fisheye Zoom, Nikon’s AF-S Fisheye NIKKOR 8-15mm f/3.5-4.5E ED, and Tokina’s AT-X 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5 DX Fisheye, which is available for Canon EF and Nikon F mount cameras. The Ikelite dome port for the FCON-T02 fits on the Ikelite housing for the Olympus TG-6. The 8-15mm fisheye is hands down one of the highest-quality professional Canon wide-angle lenses for full-frame sensors. The Canon 8-15mm fisheye performs well in low-light, and at night, which is a significant bonus because ultra wide-angle lenses are especially fantastic at capturing beautifully lit cityscapes in the evening. ![]()
